Gary is responsible for managing and developing BKL’s payroll team, providing services to businesses across a range of sectors.

He works closely with colleagues in our Advance Business Services team to ensure that clients have access to BKL’s full range of outsourced bookkeeping and management accounting expertise.

Since joining BKL in 2001, Gary has forged strong relationships with other teams whose specialisms can support our payroll clients, including human resources (employment law), tax and BKL Wealth Management (pension-related queries).

Gary remains focused on keeping BKL’s payroll knowledge up to date and has guided the team through a number of legislation changes, with the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI) reporting and auto enrolment. This is part of his commitment to ensuring a responsive, flexible and efficient service for all of BKL’s payroll clients and their employees.

Family man, cook and referee

Away from work, Gary enjoys cooking and football. A Tottenham Hotspur supporter, he used to be on the pitch himself: as a qualified football referee, he enjoyed being in charge of many cup finals at various levels before hanging up his whistle to dedicate more time with the family.
